Special Session and Budget Workshop
August 11, 2016

A Special Session and Budget Workshop of the governing body of the City of Trinidad was held on the 11th day of August 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the City Hall in Trinidad, Texas, at which time the following subjects were discussed:

01. Call to Order: Mayor Larry Estes called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

02. Roll Call: Councilpersons present at the meeting were Roy Stanfield, Kay Hernandez, Chris Quinn, and Velma Womack. Beth Parker was absent.

03. Invocation: The invocation was given by Chris Quinn.

04. Open forum: No comments made in open forum.

05. Work Session:

• Letter from TCEQ Notice of Enforcement: The Mayor received a letter from TCEQ regarding notice of enforcement for investigation at Water Plant. On May 27, 2016,

Budget Workshop - System Fund; Gary Arnold discussed water plant and general needs from System monies.
• Bond Summary debt as of 8/11/16 was submitted. The City originally had 5 loans, one of which has been paid off 2016. The balance remaining on the 4 loans is $784,033.00.
• Balance of Ford Pickup $27,621.93; balance of Mongoose Jetter $54,255.55
• Total Water customers totals 477. Out of the 477, 361 are water/sewer customers and 116 are water only customers.
• Reviewed items approved for System Fund in this year's budget. All have been purchased with the exception of the UtiliGuard Standard Receiver (Line locator) $3700
• Graph comparison of revenue from Raw water sales and City water sales
• Reviewed listing of transfers from Reserve Water Works to System Fund

06. Consider and approve Collections Contract between the City of Trinidad and Henderson County Tax Office fro the collection of property taxes at a rate of .90 per parcel: There has been no change in collection fee. Motion was made by Chris Quinn to approve Collection Contract with Henderson County Tax Office. Kay Hernandez seconds the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

07. Council Members Inquiry Time: No comments made.

08. Adjourn: Motion was made by Kay Hernandez to adjourn. Velma Womack seconds the motion. Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
