CITY OF TRINIDAD

Special Session
April 28, 2016

A Special Session of the governing body of the City of Trinidad was held on the 28th day of April 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the City Hall in Trinidad, Texas, at which time the following subjects were discussed:

01. Call to Order: Mayor Pro Tem called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

02. Roll Call: Councilpersons present at the meeting were Roy Stanfield, Kay Hernandez, Chris Quinn, Velma Womack and Beth Parker. Mayor Larry Estes was absent.

03. Invocation: The invocation was given by Chris Quinn.

04. Open forum: The Chief of Police informed the council of a gunshot to a vehicle passing through Trinidad. The gentleman driving the car was Hispanic and the Chief believes the cartel are involved.

Chris Quinn said the City had an opportunity to be the sponsor for field day at the Trinidad ISD. Everyone was in agreement to sponsor the field day with $500 going for t-shirts for the kids that will imprinted with "water department" language.

05. Convened into executive session at 6:15 p.m. pursuant to Section 551.072, Texas Government Code, to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.

06. Reconvened into open session at 6:50 p.m. pursuant to Section 551.072, Tex. Gov't Code, to take action as appropriate in the Council's discretion regarding the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property.

Motion was made by Chris Quinn for Kay Hernandez to take monies from the Reserve M & O account up to $15,000 to bid or purchase properties at the May 3 tax sale. Velma Womack seconds the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

07. Council Members Inquiry Time: No comments made.

08. Adjourn: Motion was made by Roy Stanfield to adjourn. Velma Womack seconds the motion. Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
